Somewhere in Laguna is another Filinvest development. Kudos to Filinvest, for another “investment on solid ground.” When I first spoke with their sales consultant and asked about the nearest school for my grandson, he didn’t tell me Brent School is adjacent to the property, or perhaps why Filinvest’s subdivision is called Brentville. At 0% interest payable in 4 years, as seen in the print ad, I thought I might check it out.
The sales consultant, Rene, fetched me in a van from Starbucks at 6750 for a tripping. I wished I had money right there and then to put on a piece of land, something of about 500 square meters on one of Brentville’s enclaves. While driving around to see the other enclaves, he pointed at Brent School, its quiet and neat surroundings and the subdivision’s clubhouse. We discussed terms at the clubhouse which has on the front an infinity type of swimming pool (a small one though). He explained that 0% interest is offered for irregular cuts, mostly on cul-de-sacs. Even then, I figured it would be up to the architect to make a play for the design. I imagined myself being a neighbor of Gary Ewing in Knott’s Landing.
Rene continued his pep talk and mentioned Manny Pacquio just closed on two lots in the subdivision. They’re banking on Pacquio to draw in the market. Why not? If he’s going to give “balato” to all the neighbors every winning match, I’d love to be there. And the whole subdivision will have a ticker-tape parade whenever he came home a winner.
Getting back to Makati was another story. I was sleepy at close to lunchtime. My mind went agog, whether I should commit myself and my grandson. He might have to go to school at La Salle Zobel in Alabang or Colegio de San Agustin in Makati, should I decide on Brentville. Let me give it some more thought, till then. With a rate of 8, I’d take it to town.
